“Overnight dog daycare” is one of the most common searches in Toronto, and it doesn’t quite exist as a product. Daycare is a day service. What people usually want is one of three things, and it’s worth knowing which so you book the right one.
1. You need your dog looked after overnight
That’s boarding. Your dog sleeps at the facility, is fed, exercised and supervised, and you pick up on a later day. Ours is dog boarding at $85 a night all-inclusive, with private or social rooms and days in a 4,000 sq ft private outdoor park.
2. You need very long daycare hours
Shift work, a 14-hour day, a late flight. Most daycares close at 6 or 7pm and charge steep late fees. Our dog daycare runs 7am–7pm on weekdays — up to 12 hours for $53 — and if you’ll be later than that, a single boarding night is simpler and cheaper than late fees.
3. You want daycare with a sleepover once in a while
That’s just boarding for one night, and it’s the easiest kind. A dog who already attends daycare knows the building and the people; the only new thing is the bed. Many of our daycare regulars do a night here and there so that the first real trip isn’t the first night away.
How the two work together
At Soulmutts one free assessment clears a dog for both. Boarders spend their days in the daycare groups automatically, and daycare dogs can board with no extra paperwork. The van shuttle does pickup and drop-off for both across Leslieville and the east end.

Drop-off and pickup are 7am–7pm weekdays and 9am–7pm weekends. Book the night before if you have an early flight.
What does my dog need first?
