Our Dog Grooming Prices

Our on-site salon is fully equipped, and the award-winning Paws in the Bath groomers work it. Every price depends on your dog’s size and coat type — find your dog’s size below.

Dog grooming at Soulmutts costs between $29 and $215, depending on your dog’s size and coat type. Bigger dogs and thicker coats cost more, so the figure shown for each size is the starting price. Add-ons such as specialty shampoos, de-shedding and de-matting are priced separately in the A La Carte menu below.

Dog Grooming FAQ

How much does dog grooming cost in Toronto?

At Soulmutts, grooming runs from $29 to $215 depending on your dog’s size and coat type. A Bath & Dry starts at $29, a Bath & Brush at $60, a Bath, Brush & Tidy at $85, and a Full Groom at $100. Each price shown is a starting price — bigger dogs and denser coats take longer and cost more.

How are grooming prices decided?

By size and coat type. We use seven size bands from XS (0–9 lb) to XXXL (120+ lb), and within each band a curly or dense coat costs more than a short or thin one. We confirm your dog’s size and coat when you book.

Can my double-coated dog get a haircut?

No — full haircuts are for haircut coats: curly, dense, and thin or smooth. Double, long and short natural coats are not clipped. Those dogs are groomed with a Bath, Brush & Tidy instead, which is a full bath, a thorough brush-out and a light tidy of face, paws and sanitary areas.

What vaccinations does my dog need for grooming?

Before your dog’s first grooming appointment we require proof of up-to-date rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. Dogs must also be free from fleas and on a regular vaccine schedule, so that every dog in the building stays safe.

Who actually grooms my dog?

The award-winning Paws in the Bath team — certified master groomers with over 16 years in Toronto — working inside our Leslieville facility. Soulmutts staff handle check-in, so if your dog is with us for daycare that day, the people who already know them are just down the hall.

How often should my dog be groomed?

Most dogs do well every four to six weeks. Long-haired and curly-coated breeds usually need a groom about every four weeks to stay ahead of matting; short-haired dogs can go six to eight. Brushing at home between visits makes a real difference.

How often should a dog’s nails be trimmed?

Roughly every four to six weeks. If you can hear nails clicking on the floor, they’re due. A nail trim can also be booked on its own as a standalone service.

What if my dog is matted?

De-matting is charged in 15-minute blocks, and we always call before we start so you can decide. A coat that is too tight to brush out safely is clipped short instead — that is the kinder option for the dog, and we will talk it through with you first.

What types of dogs do you groom?

All breeds and sizes, from toy breeds to giants. Haircut coats get a Full Groom; double and natural coats get a Bath, Brush & Tidy. Corded and pelted coats, such as Komondor and Puli, are quoted at an hourly rate.

How do I book grooming?

Book grooming through your Soulmutts calendar. New clients register their dog first and go straight to grooming; existing clients sign in. Choose your dog, service, optional extras and an available time. Account verification and a daycare assessment are not required for grooming. Paws in the Bath confirms your request and handles changes or cancellations through MoeGo. For help, call (647) 225-2559.
